Scanned Pictures and Postcards .....

Looking at old pictures and postcards is quite fascinating, but obtaining originals is difficult and expensive. But there are alternatives: If the focus is on the content, not on posessing the original picture, it should be possible to exchange scans of these old pictures resp. postcards. Ok, the quality of the scan must be sufficient - no too cheap scanner and the resolution of the scan should be at least 600 dpi, better 1200 dpi.
